Motorola MOTOSMART MIX XT550

Today we’ll be reviewing the Motorola MOTOSMART MIX XT550. This isn’t such a strong phone, but hopefully for this hardware configuration and features it won’t cost that much when you want to purchase one. This phone is quite restrictive since it will only be released for the China market, unless something will change until it will come out. The data you find in this post is taken from the preliminary official specifications. However, those being the official ones, you can pretty much trust the info here since even if something was to change, the change wouldn’t be that drastic and there won’t be much difference between what is here and what the phone will have.

GENERAL

Let us begin this little review by taking a look at some of the more general aspects of the Motorola MOTOSMART MIX XT550. Here you can find out a thing or two about the supported networks and the announcement and release dates. The Motorola MOTOSMART MIX XT550 supports both 2G and 3G networks. Those networks are as following : GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900 ( the 2G ones ) and HSDPA 2100 ( the 3G one ). The Motorola MOTOSMART MIX XT550 was announced in May 2012 and is expected to come out the same month. It may or may not already be available in some regions, but until it launches officially I can’t declare it available. I’m saying this because certain providers tend to get their hands on some models before they officially launch and sell them at outrageous contractual restrictions and you end up paying more than the original price – all because you wanted the phone earlier than it was scheduled to come out. But enough about this, let’s move to the aspect of the Motorola MOTOSMART MIX XT550.

BODY

Next up we’ll review the aspect related items of the Motorola MOTOSMART MIX XT550. Here you can find out a bit of info about the size and weight of the device, as well as whether or not the Motorola MOTOSMART MIX XT550 has any unusual marks that would make it stand out from a crowd. First off, let me just point out the obvious by saying that this phone looks awesome. It has very interesting combination of shape and colors. The white one looks exceptionally well : the front cover remains black for all of them and the white one has a white back with a red Motorola sign on the center of it. To me, that contrast is sublime. However, back to the matter at hand. The Motorola MOTOSMART MIX XT550 is around 118 x 67.3 x 11.9 mm big. This phone also weighs around 131.5 grams. The Motorola MOTOSMART MIX XT550 also has Touch-Sensitive Controls instead of frontal buttons. But enough about this, let’s move on to the display.

Here you can find out a thing or two about the type of screen of the Motorola MOTOSMART MIX XT550, the screen size, the screen’s resolution and its pixel density as well as whether or not the Motorola MOTOSMART MIX XT550 has any other screen-related features and screen protection. This phone’s screen also has multitouch, however, it isn’t the advanced kind that can support more than 2 fingers on it. It’s disappointing to see the Motorola MOTOSMART MIX XT550 has no screen protection whatsoever. I say this since you never know when the phone will take a fall with the wrong face down. It never hurts to be prepared. Let us now move on to the sound.
