Today we’ll be taking a look at the Motorola DROID 4 XT894. This, as all DROID phones from Motorola, is a very good Android Phone. The Motorola DROID 4 XT894 is available only for the Verizon network and is not a normal GSM device. It uses the not so standard CDMA networks, which few providers can actually offer. Verizon is one of those providers, as is AT&T and Sprint and so on.

But without further ado, let us begin this little review.

GENERAL

We’ll start off this little review by taking a look at some of more general aspects. Here you can find out a bit of info about the supported networks and the announcement and release dates. This phone, the Motorola DROID 4 XT894, not only does it support 2G and 3G networks, but it also uses 4G ones as well. Those networks are : CDMA 800 and CDMA 1900 ( the 2G ones ), CDMA 2000 1xEV-DO ( the 3G one ) and LTE 700 MHz Class 13 ( the 4G one ). The Motorola DROID 4 XT894 was announced on January 2012 and was released a month later on February 2012. Enough about this, let’s move on.

BODY

SOUND

The Bluetooth of the Motorola DROID 4 XT894 is a v4.0 one with LE+EDR. This phone’s USB port is a Micro USB v2.0 one. CAMERA

SOFTWARE

The messaging on this phone can be done via : SMS ( with Threaded View ), MMS, E-Mail, IM and Push Mail. The browser of the Motorola DROID 4 XT894 uses HTML and has integrated support for Adobe Flash. This phone has no Radio, however that can be fixed by downloading some radio apps from the internet. The Motorola DROID 4 XT894 also has a GPS with A-GPS support and Java via Java MIDP emulation. This phone is available in only one color : Black
