Android 4.1.2 Test Firmware released for the Samsung Galaxy Note II

All of you who enjoy manually installing Android OS versions into your favorite device just to see how it works, you’ll be glad about this little hot piece of news. Apparently, the Android OS v4.1.2 test firmware version has just recently surfaced for the Samsung Galaxy Note II and it is packing some awesome effects. I bet you won’t be disappointed by it. Its only real disadvantage is the fact that you have to manually flash it and install it. If you aren’t very good at such activities, I suggest you don’t risk it as you may be overwhelmed by a slight panic sensation in the eventuality that something goes wrong.

This is a Test ROM with the version number N7100XXDLJ2 and it has just surfaced for the Samsung Galaxy Note II. Thus, anyone with enough bravery is welcome to try and manually flash is offered the chance to experience the latest goodies from the Samsung Research & Development center.

This leaked release brings an interesting new ink effect for the lockscreen, effect which you can check out in the video at the end of this article.

Here are some of the features of this new update:

  • New Group Cast application
  • Updated notification toggles
  • Customizable notification panel
  • Swype-like continuous input for Samsung Keyboard.

If you search long enough, you may find a small tutorial around which will teach you how to install it. Out of not wanting to endorse anyone, I cannot actually provide you with a link. Also, I’m not sure I endorse such an action as it may be a bit risky for the average person. However, as I said, search and search and search and you will find what you’re looking for.
