Google launched the App inventor for Android. Great news: this means that building Android apps is easier. Why ? Because it is full visual and you can build your app by dragging and drop elements in the workspace.
It’s main use is for education. Think about how was the first time when you used a visual programming medium. I hated programming before i discovered Visual Delphi. I hated those numbers that seemed to have no sense for me at that time. But looking at Delphi and seeing that a new element can have a great impact ( visual ) made me love programming.
Think about how easy is for those kids to learn now. To learn something efficiently you have to have the passion for it. How you can have passion when you can’t visualize how it will look.
I’m very happy for those kids who will learn on Google App Inventor. We all know that kids love phones.
This is interesting indeed for programmers and a lot of new apps for us users. 🙂
